Welcome to Imaginisce's Thanksgiving Blog Hop. We've got three projects created with Imaginisce's Apple Cider and the Cricut. Two of the projects were created with the Limited Edition Thanksgiving Cricut Cartridge and one was not. Your job is to figure out which project is not like the others. Here's my ribbon turkey placecard.

The papers and rub-on are all Imaginisce's amazing Apple Cider line. It is just perfect for all your Fall scrapbooking, especially Thanksgiving. I used my Cricut to cut the base of the card. Isn't that scalloped edge fun? As for the turkey, his feathers were created with Really Reasonable Ribbon's Fall Dots Assortment. You can pop over to the RRR blog tomorrow for an easy tutorial.

Sunshine and Banners

Even though it is chilly outside and we are getting ready to celebrate the quintessential Fall holiday here in the US, I have a summery layout to share with you today. It's my take on Creative Scrappers Sketch #131.

Jumping Waves

Don't you just LOVE Cosmo Cricket's Togetherness line? Ahhh . . . perfect for a summer layout about two of my bestest guys.

A paper pieced sun and a chipboard banner. What could be better? Well, okay, maybe a quirky little butterfly. And just so you know, I did not stitch the edge of my layout. I am terrible with my sewing machine. I faked it! I punched holes around the edge of the page and then drew in the stitches. Pretty impressive, hun?

Awwwww . . . that daddy fox and kiddie fox are just too sweet. I don't think I've ever seen fox chipboard. Just another reason to love Cosmo Cricket.

Thankful Blog Hop

Welcome to My Little Shoebox's November Blog Hop. With Thanksgiving just one week away, I thought I'd create a little home decor piece. Something to remind us of the reason for the celebration. Here's what I came up with.

Give Thanks Wreath

For the base of my wreath, I cut a 12" diameter circle from cardboard. It's actually the cardboard from a pack of cardstock. LOVE to recycle! Then, I covered and embellished it with some My Little Shoebox patterned papers and paper piecings. All of my leaves and flowers are stacked and popped using Pop Dots and Glue Dots.

To give the wreath even more texture, I added in some Natural Jute Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I just cut out little squares from the roll and tucked them behind parts of my clusters using some Glue Dots. Another fun little touch are the Chocolate Pearls inside the centers of the sun flowers. You can find a HUGE assortment of these Helmar Pearls in the store at such a great price! I finished off the wreath with some chipboard alphas and more jute ribbon for hanging.

Did You See THIS?

I am so super excited and honored to be this week's Making Memories Guest Designer. As soon as I found out that my day would be in November, I started thinking about what kind of Fall layout that I could make. And then, I snapped this beautiful photo of my son at the Pumpkin Patch.

Fall Find

In honor of my Guest Designer occasion, I bought myelf a few new supplies. I chose the beautiful new Making Memories Paper Reverie line. The rich browns and oranges were a perfect match for my photo.

I LOVE the decorative edge on the glittered Specialty Sienne paper, so I used it as the base of my stacked strips. I piled on some Leopard paer, Brun gem tape, pleated Brun tape, and a Metallique scalloped border sticker. Ahhh, this collection has so much pattern and texture available.

I used my Slice Noteworthy Cartridge to cut all the fun frames on my layout. To give the appearance of chipboard, I cut each shape three times, glued them together, backed them with patterned paper, and then embellished each.

Finally, for my title, I pulled out some Making Memories Autumn Spice metallic chipboard alphas that I've been hoarding for a while. I love the size and the shimmery bronze finish. To give them a little richer tone that matches the Sienne paper, I lightly brushed them with some alcohol ink. For the second word of the title, I created a little banner out of the argyle pattern on the back side of the Bees Handwriting paper. I just cut out each of the diamonds and then folded them over a piece of baker's twine. The small letters that spell out "find" are Making Memories Halloween Shimmer Alphas backed with cream cardstock.

Princess Treat Slippers

Have you seen the lovely new Enchanted line by Imaginisce? Pinks, blues, and greens. Crowns, scepters, and castles. Frogs, dragons, and mice. Cute stuff, people.

Now, what happens when you mix this beautiful line with a mommy of two rough and tumble boys? A princess slipper, of course. (Work with me.)

Princess Slipper

I found an easy template by Ellen Hutson HERE at her blog. You just download the template, print it out, and then trace it onto your paper. A couple of folds and glue dots later and you have yourself a super cute little shoe.

How cute are these Roly Rosies combined with this line? The colors coordinate really well and they finish off the shoe so nicely.

For My Little Bow-Headed Friend

Hello my scrappy friends. I thought I'd pop in quickly today to share a fun little project. For my My Little Shoebox Cute As A Button project, I created a bow and barrett holder for my sweet little friend Vivian.

I bought the wooden base at Michael's and then covered it with patterned paper. I added a die cut to the center for her name. Then, I adorned it with some stacked fussy cut flowers and Creative Charms bling. I added ribbon strips with staples to the back. The wider ones can hold her large bows and the smaller one can hold barretts and bobby pins.

To finish off the ribbon strips, I added some die cuts and more cardstock stickers. These little circles will help keep the ribbon straight. This little project was so easy to make and my cute friend Vivi loved it! Since she has two older bow-wearing sisters, I might just be making some more bow holders in the future.

Snow Ballin

I thought I would create a 3D ribbon snowflake for my layout. I just love the soft grey, white, and silver colors in the assortment. They are so wintery and festive.

Playing With Girls

This past summer my best friend Frances and I decided to take our six kiddos on a mini vacation to the Yogi Bear Campground. And even though it was a little hectic at times, we had a blast! Our big kids got to stay up late both nights and play cards while the little ones slept. I got some cute pics of them playing Uno. And as soon as I saw these pics, I knew I'd be scrapping me some pink! My Little Shoebox's Cute As A Button line was just perfect.

I am LOVING the My Little Shoebox die cut sheets. Each 12 x 12 sheet comes with a variety of square, circle, scalloped, and border die cuts. I like finding new ways to use the die cuts. For this layout, one die cut grounds the title and the other contains my journaling. Aside from some cardstock stickers, the die cuts are pretty much the only embellishing on the page. Oh, and of course, the mini and chipboard alphas. Mmmmm . . . LOVE them, too!

What girl layout would be complete without some ruffles, hun? These were created from three strips of scallops cut from the edges of the square scalloped die cut paper.

Veteran's Day Card

Happy Veteran's Day! In honor of this special occasion and my Thursday post at Really Reasonable Ribbon, I decided to make a Thank You card for all the amazing men and women who have and who are currently serving our country.

For this patriotic card, I cut my 5" x 4" base from Royal Blue Bazzill cardstock and then rounded the bottom corners. I then cut 4 5/8" by 3 5/8" piece of white cardstock and embossed it with Cuttlebug's Seeing Spots folder. And then the fun part! I created a flag out of ribbons and trim.

The stripes were created with six 4 1/2" strips of Red Stripe Grossgrain and attached to the base with Scor-Tape. I usually have to add a TON of adhesive to attach ribbon to an embossed surface, but not with the Scor-Tape. LOVE that! The field of blue was created with royal blue shimmery satin from the November Ribbon Club Assortment. Finally, I added three stars cut from the Silver Star Trim also in the November Ribbon Club Assortment. All of these supplies can be found right HERE in the Really Reasonable Ribbon store.

Creative Scrappers Meets Paper Poppy Kit Co.

Creative Scrappers sketch #129 was posted yesterday. I struggled with this one, which is pretty ironic, considering it was my sketch. Hee hee! I pushed myself out of my box on this one. And even though the process was a bit trying at times, I do like the result.

Ribbon Pumpkin

Hi there Scrappers! Today I made my very first Really Reasonable Ribbon DT post. Wooo hoooo!!! So excited. My card this week was inspired by some fabulous Fall ribbons from the RRR Store: Orange Assortment, Swiss Dots Autumn Assortment, and Dark Brown Gingham.

For the base of my card, I cut a 5" x 5" piece of dark brown Core'dinations cardstock and topped it with a 4 5/8" by 4 5/8" piece of Bella Boulevard One Fall Day patterned paper. Then, I took a Maya Road chipboard pumpkin and covered it with alternating pieces of ribbon. I precut the ribbon, added a strip of Scor-Tape to the back of each piece, and then layed it down. The Scor-Tape made it a breeze to attach the ribbon. Then, I turned the piece over and trimmed off the excess. I used my finger to lightly rub some liquid adhesive all around the border to keep the ribbon from fraying. (Ran out of No Fray. LOL!)

To finish it off my sweet little pumpkin, I used ribbon loops to create a stem and leaves. Then I added a button embellished with orange baker's twine (my favorite way to finish off a button) and a simple sentiment tag with a rub-on from Imaginisce's Apple Cider collection.

Paper Poppy November Sketch Challenge

Paper Poppy's got a fun one for you this month, ladies! Four photos, a grid pattern, and lots of white space. Woo hooo!!! Here's the sketch and my take on it.

Pumpkin Patch Poses

I think I must have said, "No, Ethan, look at me" at least a dozen times while trying to get some good shots at the pumpkin patch. Too much to see and do. And for goodness sakes, he had a pumpkin to find. So, I just scrapped the photos that were closest to a good shot.

The sketch enabled me to use several of the bright, bold Bella BLVD patterns without the layout becoming too busy. And the kraft cardstock also toned it down a bit. Love me a grid!

Since the sketch was pretty simple, I decided to use my title space as a place for me to group and cluster. The Bella BLVD Cute Cuts and Blocks and Borders sheets were perfect for embellishing. I cut out the leaves, pumpkins, scarecrow, and sign from those sheets and then just layered them along with my title.

I think these American Crafts Bones Green Thickers might just be my new favorites. Um, yes, they were also in the October Specialty Kit. LOVE them that much! And good news...both sets of alphas in the November Main Kit coordinate with the papers in the November Specialty Kit. And since the Thickers are so small, there are a TON of them in the package. Plenty enough for you to use for both kits.

Imaginisce's November Sketch

It's the first of the month and you know what that means! Yes, a new Imaginisce Sketch Challenge. This month's sketch is by the talented Melinda Spinks. You can also link up with the other Imaginisce girls' sketch layouts, which are sure to inspire you to play along with us this month. Here's my take.

Prince Charming

All of us DT girls just got this new line, Enchanted. It is full of dreamy princesses, castles, carriages, frogs, dragons, and all things fairy tale. How lucky for me that I had these cute photos of my little guy riding a pink and blue carousel at the beach this summer.

These cute trees and my title are all die cuts. Imaginisce has traded in the rub-ons for these super fun die cuts. One pack is titles and expressions and the other pack is shapes. They are such a nice size, too.

For the bottom portion of the layout, I layered various sized circles along with some sticker glass accents and a sticker stacker journaling tag.
