OK, One MORE Pink Ninjas Project

I'm still working with the Pink Ninjas Addicts May kit and still loving it.  [And I'm not finished yet . . . still have one, maybe two, projects up my sleeve.]  Today, I have a masculine layout created with some not-so-masculine papers and embellihsments.  LOVE when I can do that.

His Silly Side

First off, I just have to say how excited I am to have captured my husband's personality in these pictures.  He doesn't really like to have his picture taken, so I usually get a quick smile and that's it.  But on this day at the park, he was willing to play a little.  Too cute!

Also, I wanted to mention that this layout is based on Sketch #155 at Creative Scrappers.  If you are a sketch fan, then you definitely don't want to miss the weekly sketch challenges at this site.  Not to mention, there are some great prizes given away each month. 

So, do you see what I mean about a masculine layout with not-so-masculine supplies?  But when I looked at these sweet photos of my hubby, I saw the grey baseball hat and the green shirt coordinating wonderfully with the papers from Crate Ppaer and Glitz.  LOVE how it came together!

Another Pink Ninjas Project

Just popping in for a quick share of another project that I made with the May Pink Ninjas Kit, Scarlet Begonias.  (You can see and purchase the kit HERE.)  Here's my little gift set.

For You Card and Gift Set

All the supplies here (except the paper mache box) came in the kit.  The black and white pleated ribbon were the inspiration behind this project.  I love how it looks around the side of the box top.  Pretty!  The kit also includes several cobochons and a couple of Maya Road silk flowers.  The perfect touch for the center of the box top.

Happy Camper Release

Soooo excited to share Imaginisce's newest release with you:  Happy Camper!  Such fabulous colors.  And the critters are too cute.  Whether you are wanting to scrap outdoor photos or not, you will LOVE this new line.  All week at the Imaginisce blog, we'll be sharing lots of cards, layouts, and projects with you.  Here's my first layout.

Tree Hugger

There are so many different patterns available in this line.  LOVE that!  I wanted to use several of them without making my layout too busy, so I cut small strips.

I really love  how well the Imaginisce papers coordinate with my Cricut cartridges.  For this layout, I used the Create A Critter, Hoot 'n' Holler, and Plantin Schoolbook cartridges.  And, as promised at the Imaginisce blog, I thought I'd share the cuts with you.

Owl from Create A Critter:  @ 2" in kraft; Layer 1 @ 2" in light blue; Layer 2 @ 2" in turquoise; Layer 3 @ 2" in gold. 

Tree Branch from Hoot 'n' Holler:  in kraft @ 3"; Layer in green patterned paper @ 3".

Plantin Schoolbook:  Letters t, r, e, e at 2.25" in dark blue with kraft shadows.

This layered flower was cut with the Cricut Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge. Here are the supplies and cuts that you'll need.

Supplies: Princess Posies paper, Mirror Mirror paper, Cherry Lemonade paper, Just Peachy paper, 4.5" x 4.5" white card base, small white tag, yellow mini alphas, yellow button, yellow twine, foam adhesive dots, and chalk.

Cuts: 2 - 2" < leaf 7 >; 3" < flower 3 > ; 2.5" < flower 5 > ; 2.25" < flower 1 > ; 2" < flowr 25 > ; 2" < flower 2 >.

Pink Ninjas Guest

This month I'm guest designing at such a fun kit company, Pink Ninjas Addicts!  Ninja Masters Ally and Nely put together some rocking kits with unique embellishments.  I got to work with this month's Scarlet Begonias, full of Crate Paper and Sassafras and Glitz papers and a slew of fabulous embellies.  Here's my first project.

At Three

My layout is based on a Creative Scrappers Sketch #152 that I designed.  There were so many wonderful patterned papers to choose from in this kit.  Everything from soft and feminine to bold and funky.  I thought these papers complemented my photo well.

Eeek!  These new KI Puffies butterflies are precious!  LOVE them.  I even used the fun graph patterned packaging for my circles.

 

The finishing touch for my layout was my title box.  In this kit you get a full sheet of Hambly transparent frames.  Gorgeous!  For my @, I used a black Sharpie to color the yellow vinyl Thickers that came in the kit.  Easy.  Doesn't it look good with the wooden bingo marker?

This month's kit at The ScrapRoom includes some Girls' Paperie Jubilee papers and embellishments. The colors were just perfect for scrapping the last of my Easter pics from 2010.
